Vista has successfully fulfilled the requirements of ISO/IEC 17025:2005, the 2003 NELAC Chapter 5 Standard, and the DoD Quality System Manual (QSM 4.2) according to the Scope of Accreditation located here.  The DoD-ELAP accreditation program was developed in 2009 through an inter-agency workgroup and provides specific laboratory accreditation for labs working at Military and Federal sites across the United States. It replaces previous certification programs by the US Army Corps, Navy, and Air Force. Now Offering PFC Analysis

Perfluorinated chemicals (PFCs) are a group of man-made chemicals found world-wide. An emerging class of environmental contaminants, they are known for their persistence, toxicity, and bioaccumulation in humans, laboratory animals, and the environment. Humans are exposed to PFCs through a variety of consumer products from food packaging, stain-resistant furniture, carpet, clothing, and cookware. Exposure also occurs through dental floss and many cosmetics. Vista Analytical Laboratory is responding to the growing need for reliable and accurate determination of these chemicals using LC/MS/MS technology.  Contact us for more information.

Vista Introduces Latest Revision of Method 1668 to Meet Proposed EPA Methods Update Rule

EPA has proposed a new version of EPA Method 1668, Rev. C, for use in Clean Water Act programs to determine compliance with National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permits or other monitoring requirements. The full title of this proposed rule is "Guidelines Establishing Test Procedures for the Analysis of Pollutants under the Clean Water Act; Analysis and Sampling Procedures."

The proposal adds EPA Method 1668C to 40 CFR 136.3, Table IC.  EPA Method 1668C can measure the 209 individual PCB congeners in environmental samples by isotope dilution and internal standard HRGC/HRMS in wastewater, surface water, soil, sediment, biosolids, and tissue matrices.

With over 20 years experience in the analysis of environmental samples for PCB congeners, Vista is now offering EPA Method 1668C, "Chlorinated Biphenyl Congeners in Water, Soil, Sediment, Biosollids, and Tissue by HRGC/HRMS."  To view the method, click here.
